Frequently Asked Questions

What type(s) of photography do you do? . . .

I think the real question is what kinds of photography don't I do! At this time, I don't do boudoir photography, and I only take on weddings on a limited basis. However, I am happy to take on just about any other type of photography there is! This includes child, baby and newborn portraiture, events, family portraiture, commercial and product, headshots, food and beverage, and creative, just to name a few! If you have a specific photography job which is not listed here, just ask!

How much do you charge? . . .

The way I price a session is by charging a fixed session fee (which covers transportation to your location of choice, shooting time, editing time, and processing time) plus product costs for how you choose to receive your photos. Usually, for every one hour of actual shooting, I will spend between 4 and 7 hours behind-the-scenes to make the raw images the best that they can be! Due to the fact that each of my clients have their own individual needs and visions, prices for the session fee vary, so please contact me for a quote!

How do I best prepare for a portrait session? . . .

As this is such a commonly asked question, I covered this topic in-depth on my 'Session Tips' page! View it and download it as a handy PDF for free here!

Where do you photograph portrait sessions? . . .

This is the question what I will be asking you! Whether it's running bare-foot through a warm and sandy beach or relaxing under the shade of an oak tree on a hot summers day, I aim to create an environment where you can relax and fully enjoy the session! I also have a studio with professional lighting equipment and backdrops for those times when you need a more crisp look, or for when it's -30 degrees Celsius outside and the only possible photo would be of a polar bear in a snow storm!

How do I receive my photos? (individuals and families) . . .

That's completely up to you! The first step is to come into the studio for an in-person proofing session. Here, you'll be able to sit down over a nice cold (or hot) beverage and view all your photos on a calibrated HDTV. We will then discuss which products you wish to purchase - from canvases and prints, to digital media and layflat photobooks (product pricelist link). You'll also have access to your own online proofing gallery for six months after your session date. From this site, you have the ability to view the digital images, download the photo files, share them on social media, and even order professional-quality prints with your credit card or PayPal account anytime during that period! No matter your preference and budget, you can be sure that your needs will be fully accomodated!
